Terms of Service

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between Ascendy ("Service") and users regarding the use of the Service.

Article 2 (Definitions)

  1. "Service" refers to the cloud-based platform that enables users to store, manage, search, and share photos and videos.
  2. "User" refers to any person who uses the Service in accordance with these Terms.
  3. "Content" refers to photos, videos, text, and other materials uploaded by users to the Service.

Article 3 (Effect and Amendment of Terms)

  1. These Terms become effective when posted on the Service screen or otherwise notified to users.
  2. The Service may amend these Terms within the bounds of applicable laws and will provide 7 days' notice before changes take effect.

Article 4 (Service Agreement)

  1. The service agreement is established when the user agrees to these Terms and completes registration.
  2. Users under the age of 14 may not use the Service.

Article 5 (Service Features)

The Service provides the following features:

  • Cloud storage for photos and videos
  • AI-based auto-classification and search
  • Face recognition for organizing by person
  • Photo sharing with friends (Pod)
  • Photo management via AI agent

Article 6 (User Obligations)

Users shall not:

  1. Misappropriate others' personal information or accounts
  2. Store or distribute illegal content through the Service
  3. Interfere with normal operation of the Service
  4. Infringe on others' copyrights or intellectual property rights
  5. Violate other applicable laws

Article 7 (Content Ownership)

  1. Ownership of content uploaded by users belongs to the users.
  2. The Service will not use user content for purposes other than service provision.
  3. The Service processes user content for AI analysis but does not provide it to third parties or use it for advertising purposes.

Article 8 (Service Restrictions)

The Service may restrict user access in the following cases:

  1. Violation of these Terms
  2. Uploading illegal content
  3. Intentionally interfering with Service operations

Article 9 (Service Interruption)

  1. The Service may be temporarily suspended for system maintenance or equipment replacement.
  2. Prior notice will be given for service interruptions; in unavoidable circumstances, notice may be given afterward.

Article 10 (Storage Capacity)

  1. The Service provides users with basic storage capacity free of charge.
  2. Additional storage capacity may be provided for a fee.

Article 11 (Limitation of Liability)

  1. The Service is not liable for service interruptions due to natural disasters or force majeure.
  2. The Service is not liable for damages caused by user negligence.
  3. The Service does not guarantee any profits or benefits users expect from the Service.

Article 12 (Account Withdrawal)

  1. Users may withdraw at any time through the Service settings.
  2. User content will be deleted within 30 days of withdrawal.

Article 13 (Dispute Resolution)

Disputes related to these Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, with jurisdiction in the court of the Service provider's location.
